One legged man do what?
August 3, 2007
Credit for this one, or at least the blame, goes to my wife, Trish.
I came home, and she was laughing at something, and I am always interested to hear her laugh, especially when it isn’t at me.
Anyway, MSNBC is running a story, “Armless, one-legged driver sentenced to prison“.
Evidently, the man habitually broke the law, and a drug offender probation conviction finally earned him a 15 Year sentence.
Now you have to admire the guy, who taught himself to drive after he lost both arms and one leg in a accident. To quote the story:
He starts the car with his toes, shifts with his knee and steers with the stump of his left arm. He turns on the lights with his teeth.
Unfortunately the guy hasn’t had a valid license since 1985.
The fact that this man is handicapped, and going to prison isn’t funny. What made her laugh was the list of offenses. Tell me what is wrong with this sentence:
He has already spent more than three years in prison for habitually driving without a license, kicking a state trooper and other charges.
How exactly did he kick a state trooper? I think he was framed on that one.

Well I guess he could have launched his foot out the window while he was sitting in the car.
Wouldn’t that be something to see. You’re watching a trooper write up a ticket, then suddenly see w leg come flying out the window and nail him in the chin.
I love the soccer ball for the story about a one-legged man. I think I laughed at that more than the story itself.

It would have been something to see, especially after they bring the guy out of the car!
Thanks, I was giggling while I was resizing that image for the post
