Credit for this one, or at least the blame, goes to my wife, Trish.
I came home, and she was laughing at something, and I am always interested to hear her laugh, especially when it isn’t at me.
Anyway, MSNBC is running a story, “Armless, one-legged driver sentenced to prison“.
Evidently, the man habitually broke the law, and a drug offender probation conviction finally earned him a 15 Year sentence.
Now you have to admire the guy, who taught himself to drive after he lost both arms and one leg in a accident. To quote the story:
He starts the car with his toes, shifts with his knee and steers with the stump of his left arm. He turns on the lights with his teeth.
Unfortunately the guy hasn’t had a valid license since 1985.
The fact that this man is handicapped, and going to prison isn’t funny. What made her laugh was the list of offenses. Tell me what is wrong with this sentence:
He has already spent more than three years in prison for habitually driving without a license, kicking a state trooper and other charges.
How exactly did he kick a state trooper? I think he was framed on that one.
