Does my family know me or what? Looking at the picture now, I’m thinking I should have arranged these in this order:
Mummy3 - Zombie Survival Guide - Fallout 3
This way I would have a Movie about the Undead, then a book about a Undead Apocalypse, and finally a game about life after a Nuclear Apocalypse.
So far, I’m already spending way too much time playing Fallout 3, and The Mummy 3 wasn’t as good as the movies before it.
I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and are looking forward to a new year!

I’m so excited! Why you ask? Only because I finally received my invitation to buy Popcorn Hour!
Way back in February, I did a little drive by linking, and mentioned Popcorn Hour. Popcorn Hour is a standalone video player, that can play video files from a number of sources. It can play files that you store on a local hard drive, files shared by other computers in the house, and even videos on youtube.
All in all, this is a sweet little device. You don’t have to have a hard drive to operate it, and without a drive, it sells for $179.
There has been such a demand for the player, that it became an invite only system. I signed up a month or so ago, and Monday I received my invitation to buy it.
When I initially signed up, I wasn’t sure if I was going to want to buy it or not, but recently I’ve ran into some frustrations when trying to get some video files on DVD to watch on my television. That has been such a pain, that even my wife is all for buying it.
So I went ahead and ordered it. (W00t!)
I won’t receive mine until sometime in April, but you can be sure I’ll let you know what I think of it.

Yes, you read that one right. They are making a Iron Man Movie!
Needless to say, I was pretty surprised when I heard about this. Take a look at the trailer. It looks great!
Release date is May 2, 2008.
Iron Man wasn’t one of more popular Marvel characters, so the title didn’t come to mind when I thought of what may be the next Marvel Movies. Then again, I would never have guessed there would be a Transformers movie either.
Of course, I was wrong.
Another surprising detail is that the lead character, Tony Stark / Iron Man, is going to be played by Robert Downey Jr. (IMDB Link). I don’t follow celebrity gossip, but I didn’t think any of the studios were going to touch him. I think he is a good choice, and I have always liked his acting.
The Marvel movie making really has been terrific, and I hope that they continue to be popular. The more popular they are, the more likely they will be to make more movies based on the Marvel Universe.
So far, I have been really pleased with the quality of the Marvel movies coming out of the Movie studios, although I haven’t seen Ghost Rider, which was another one that I would never have expected being chosen for a movie.
X-Men and Spiderman, in my opinion, were true to the comic book, even if they changed a couple of details.
The next characters that I would like to see get made into a movie is Captain America and Thor. Although Captain America had the name recognition, I don’t think that either one was a very popular title.
OK, how about Groo the Wanderer? That one should stay animated though.
